History of Practice & Service:

After passing the final exam of C.A. in 1994, joined M/s J.B. Chavan & Co. a reputed firm in Satara as partner. Independently carried out the Statutory Audit of various banks and financial institutions. The partnership lasts for two and half years. Simultaneously worked in various colleges as Lecturer. Thereafter I joined The Karad Urban Co-op. Bank Ltd., Karad in Sept. 1996 as Dy.CEO, post elevated as CEO in July 2005.

Best Practices Introduced:

  • Development of total Concurrent Audit System, Audit Report format and annexures thereof is developed and amended from time to time.

  • Various concepts of R.B.I., in financial reforms such as A.L.M., C.R.A.R., CAMEL rating etc. are launched in the bank before it has become mandatory.

  • Introduced the system of publishing various accounting ratios alongwith notes on accounts in the Annual Report since last 6 years before it has become mandatory by R.B.I.

  • Introduced M.I.S. through Stastical Information & Various Ratios, Budget & Achievement Statements.

  • Introduced Dummy Quarter End / Year End Procedures to forecast & manage the financial statements.

  • Significant Policies of the bank such as Loan Policy, Investment Policy, Staff Accountability Policy, One Time Settlement Policy, Know Your Customer Policy are framed and introduced in the bank.

  • Introduced and developed the back office system in trading of Govt. Securities.

  • Introduced the system of Stock & Debtors Audit for sizable loan accounts.
